A/V File Specifications

  1. Assets must be delivered in a QuickTime container with the .mov file extension.
  2. Each title asset must be delivered as a single file and cannot be split into multiple deliveries.

Video Material Specifications

  1. Assets must be delivered in their native resolution per the format in which the content was originally shot.
  2. Content must be trimmed to only contain the program material. Non-program content like bars and tone, test patterns, FBI warnings cards, VITC time code, production slates, textless material, or extended blacks must be removed before delivery.
  3. No callouts to external distribution platforms.
  4. Commercial blacks must be trimmed down to 2 seconds or less if applicable.
  5. Assets must not have burned-in subtitles, Forced Narrative must be delivered as separate time text asset.
  6. Assets must be full length and uncensored, as released by its distributor.
  7. Assets must be encoded as Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)
    1. Display Aspect Ratio: 16.9 or 1.85:1
    2. Chroma Subsampling: 4:2:2
    3. Chroma Bit Depth: 10-bit
    4. Frame Rate (constant): 23.976242529.9730 or 60
    5. Scan Type: Progressive only

Audio Material Specifications

  1. All audio tracks in a given source file must be in the same language.
  2. Audio mixes must only contain program audio. Non-program and production audio like Music & Effects, MOS, silent, or commentary tracks must be removed.
  3. Audio duration and video duration must match exactly.
  4. All audio tracks must be enabled in the QuickTime Player Video Properties window
  5. Audio levels should not peak higher than -4dB
  6. Audio must be uncompressed Linear PCM
    1. Sample Rate: 48kHz
    2. Bit Depth: 16bit or 24bit
    3. Channel Count: 26 or 8
    4. Audio Channel layout mapping (one of)
      1. 2-Channel Stereo: L-R
      2. 6-Channel 5.1 Surround Sound: L-R-C-LFE-LS-RS

Visual Material Specifications

  1. Posters
    1. Posters must be of high resolution and free from visual artifacts.
    2. Any featured text must be on a independent layer.
    3. Supported file formats
      1. Layered: INDD, PSD
      2. Textless: JPG, PNG, TIFF
    4. Supported color modes: RGB
    5. Aspect Ratio for vertical assets: 2:3 (Minimum 1080x1620)
    6. Aspect Ratio for horizontal assets: 3:2, 16:9
  2. Logo
    1. Logo assets must be vectored.
    2. Supported file Formats: AI, EPS, SVG, PSD, INDD
  3. Stills
    1. Full resolutions side-by-side.
    2. Aspect Ratio: 16:9
  4. Fonts (ie, fonts in use on the poster)
    1. Supported file formats: OTF, TTF

Timed Text Material Specifications

Timed text matrial must be in sync with mezzanine video.
